Take some of our SPECIAL monster Pumpkin seeds, add a lot of care and good fertilizer and with a bit of luck and your own special magic you can grow a massive specimen for our October judging day. Actually we don’t care how big it is, as long as it registers on our scales, you will earn yourself a FREE drink of your choice. Our 3 biggest Pumpkin growers will each receive a trophy, and the owner of the heaviest will get his or her name on our “roll of honour” shield for all to see. If Pumpkins are not your cup of tea, then try our Pickled Onion competition. Make your own pickles to your own recipe and our 3 judges will sample them, deliberate and choose a winner. Again all entries will get a FREE drink. The evening starts at 7pm. BEWARE, protect your Pumpkins in case of sabotage …. Competition is fierce………….
At 7pm on Saturday reputations were won and lost in our highly contested Village competition.
